Two arrested for the murder of a Huércal Overa resident

The sentimental partner of G.B., the resident of Huércal Overa found dead in a family farmhouse on 14 August, has been arrested along with a friend, both of Colombian origin, as decreed by the court of instruction No. 1 of this locality.

According to judicial sources, the 67-year-old woman appeared with her lawyer before the Guardia Civil to give her version of the events that ended the life of her partner.

According to the statement she gave to the Guardia Civil, as reported by La Comarca Noticias, she “asked an acquaintance to give a scare” to this neighbour who was found dead in a family farmhouse in the Rambla Grande area of the village of Úrcal.

Apparently, the couple were in the process of separating and for this reason, the woman had allegedly given the order to “scare” her partner.

In her voluntary statement to the Guardia Civil – which could serve as an extenuating circumstance – the woman pointed to the person who allegedly carried out the order, both of whom were arrested.

It should be recalled that G.B. was found dead, and it was later determined that the violent death was caused by stabbing.
