The Cooltural Go! concert series will have its last round this week but it will do so with a succession of proposals, from Wednesday to Sunday, except Thursday, which, in addition, contemplate different facets that this varied and attractive programme has been developing since last May with more than forty activities. To begin with, today there will be a Gastromusical Route in the Parque Nicolás Salmerón with Las Wonder, at 20.30 hours. On Friday it will be the turn of the third of the ‘Cooltural Kids’, aimed at family audiences at 20.30 in the Amphitheatre, with free invitation. On Saturday at 21.30 the last of the six ‘secret shows’ will take place, with the artist and venue of the concert revealed at the last minute, and on Sunday the party will end at the Mesón Gitano, with concerts by Arco, Guiu Cortés and Mr. Kilombo from 12.30.
Tickets and invitations, as for the rest of the shows in this series organised by Crash Music’s Cooltural Fest and the Culture and Education Department of the Almería City Council, can be purchased on the website www.coolturalfest.com.
Friday, Cooltural Kids from the Amphitheatre
After the Plaza del Mar in El Toyo and the Parque de las Familias, the third and last date with Cooltural Kids will be on Friday, at 8.30pm, in the Amphitheatre of La Rambla. Admission is free with an invitation on the Cooltural Fest website. El Bosque de las Canciones’ is a journey of understanding and musical approach through nature. A fable-like adventure where voices, guitar, percussion and interpretation are mixed to encourage and bring learning through music and corporal expression to the youngest.
Saturday, Secret Show
Tetería Aljaima and Alice Wonder, Museo de la Guitarra ‘Antonio de Torres’ and Carmen Boza, the terrace of the Centro de Interpretación Patrimonial and El Niño de la Hipoteca, Travis Birds and the Cuevas de Conan, Georgina in La Hoya, Maren in the Cerro de San Cristóbal… This Saturday, 18 September, with ‘doors opening’ at 20.30 and starting at 21.30, a new place in the city and a new artist will join the list of the ‘Secret Show’.
An original proposal that has had its previous dates with ‘sold out’ posters and which means that the audience does not know until just 24 hours beforehand where the concert is going to be held in the city, and until the artist does not appear on stage, they do not know who the concert is going to be by.
Sunday, the end of the festival
Sunday, 19 September, will be the farewell of the Cooltural Go! cycle of this spring and summer of 2021. The date is at the Mesón Gitano, from 12.30 p.m., with Arco, Guiu Cortés and Mr. Kilombo.
Antonio Arco, widely recognised for his time in the popular Granada band El Puchero del Hortelano, not only sings, but also plays the guitar, composes and writes literature and music. This multi-talented artist has been accumulating success since he began his solo career in 2016 under the name Arco.
Guiu Cortés, also known as El Niño de la Hipoteca, is a Spanish singer-songwriter, composer and musician who triumphed with the boom of social networks, with a great success in digital reproductions. He accompanies his lively music (which he defines as soft punk) with humorous and vindictive lyrics and explores different styles in his multiple projects or under his personal name for the more intimate.
Mr. Kilombo is a personal project of Miki Ramírez in which careful lyrics converge with catchy melodies and an interactive and energetic staging. His latest album, released in 2020, has him touring Spain on the Cortocircuitos tour. He has also made numerous visits to Latin America, where he has had a large fan base since he began his career.
