Escuela del Mármol de Fines, a training centre attached to the Andalusian Employment Service and National Reference Centre for Vocational Training in the family of Extractive Industries, has opened until 28 September the application period for access to a training itinerary with 15 places to train unemployed people in the speciality of ‘Auxiliary operations in natural stone processing plants and treatment and processing of minerals and rocks’.
This training action is part of the new 2021-2023 programme of the Marble School, which includes eight actions -seven itineraries of different specialities and one FPE teaching course- totalling 3,910 teaching hours, with work experience in companies, aimed at 120 unemployed people. This programme responds to the needs of natural stone companies and the occupations most in demand in the sector. The centre will soon begin to offer vocational training for employed workers and training actions associated with training and apprenticeship contracts.
The itinerary of auxiliary operations in stone processing plants will be developed from November 2021 to March 2022, with complementary training in digital skills, job placement and job search techniques. Students who complete the itinerary, with 415 teaching hours, will be fully qualified to work in natural stone processing plants and will be able to apply for the level 1 certificate of professionalism.
The training itineraries are made up of courses leading to certificates of professionalism at different levels which, in addition to training unemployed people in skills demanded by the labour market, provide an opportunity for access to higher level training for applicants with insufficient academic qualifications and therefore an improvement in their professional qualification.
