Work on the Playa Honda medical clinic is progressing at a good pace, as the deputy mayor and head of the Department of Tourism, Trade, Health and Consumer Affairs, Manuel Padín, has verified today in situ.
The distribution works have now been completed and they are currently immersed in the process of setting up the installations, so that the new surgery is expected to be ready to serve the local residents in approximately two months’ time.
The facilities will have waiting rooms, two doctors’ surgeries, a nursing room and a treatment room, as well as adapted toilets, storage and filing areas. The reception, in compliance with Covid regulations, will have a differentiated double entrance and exit circuit, and all the premises will have excellent ventilation that will enable residents to be attended to with the maximum guarantees.
Similarly, the state of the annexed social premises has been checked, which from now on will have a large hall for the use and enjoyment of residents, associations and groups, as well as offices and a storage area, among other things.
The entire improvement and refurbishment work on both premises was awarded for 231,392.87 euros. The project envisaged the construction of two separate areas on the ground floor of the building, which has a surface area of 368 square metres.
