The regatta will be held from 8 to 10 October at the headquarters of the CN Mar Menor Los Alcazares being valid test for the championship of Spain Formula Windsurfing, as well as having the concentration Open, Open Children, Slalom and Foil and be a test of the National Circuit Windsurfer class.
The 22nd edition of the Surfari Mar Menor is already a reality. Today, October 8th, a very emotional and special edition starts, after two blank editions, one due to the Dana that happened in 2019 the days before the regatta. The second was this past 2020 due to the health situation of the Covid 19.
But now, yes, now the Surfari arrives and it does so with even more strength and enthusiasm. A regatta that is valid for the championship of Spain Formula Windsurfing, as well as having the Open, Open Children, Slalom and Foil concentration and being a test of the National Circuit of the Windsurfer class and has the support of the Estación Náutica Mar Menor-Cabo de Palos, the city council of Los Alcázares and the Sailing Federation of the Region of Murcia.
Around 130 sailors in the various windsurfing classes and categories will participate during these three days in the Mar Menor, coming from the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Catalonia, Castilla La Mancha, Valencia, the Balearic Islands and the Region of Murcia.
The Formula Windsurfing will be the one that will raise the curtain to the regattas with the first races scheduled for tomorrow Friday at 14.00 hours with the start of the first race of the day. The rest of the classes and categories will enter the scene on Saturday, 9th October. With the top start scheduled for 11.00 hours for the Open classes and at 12.00 hours for the rest, provided that the wind conditions are ideal for the competition.
