Moreno asks to appear in a new State of the Community Debate to promote recovery

He invited society as a whole «to enjoy Spain, to criticise it less and to build a country where people can live better».

The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has informed that the Governing Council will ask the president of the Andalusian Parliament this Wednesday to appear in a new State of the Community Debate.

Moreno considered this new debate to be fundamental in order to finish «cornering» the pandemic and to rebuild the economy and the social fabric of Andalusia together. To this end, he invited all the parliamentary groups to put forward initiatives and projects to give a new impetus to the recovery of the autonomous community after the crisis caused by Covid-19.

For the Andalusian President, the holding of a new State of the Community Debate is a further sign of the example of transparency that his government has constantly set. «I hope that the parliamentary groups take the debate seriously and that it is constructive, calm and positive for Andalusia,» he said.

Moreno attended the National Day celebrations in Madrid on Tuesday 12 October, an event presided over by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain. From there, he invited Spanish society as a whole «to enjoy Spain, to criticise it less and to build together a country where we can live better». Today, he said, we are celebrating the existence of a common and shared project that is Spain, a great Nation «of which we all feel very proud».
