Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the Region of Murcia rose by 0.6 percent last September compared to the previous month, while so far this year this growth stands at 2.5 percent, according to data released Thursday by the National Statistics Institute (INE), collected by Europa Press.
The Region of Murcia thus registers the lowest monthly growth by communities, tied with Asturias, Cantabria, Navarre and La Rioja, in a rate that rose in all the autonomous regions with respect to the previous month. The year-on-year rate in the region stands at 3.9 percent.
In Spain as a whole, the CPI rose by 0.8% in September compared to the previous month and its year-on-year rate shot up to 4%, seven tenths above that of August and the highest in 13 years, due, above all, to the rise in electricity prices, according to data published on Thursday by the National Statistics Institute (INE), which confirm those advanced at the end of last month.
