Active cases of coronavirus continue to increase in the Region on a day without deaths

The Regional Ministry of Health has notified 72 new positives, 24 more than the previous day, but there is one less hospital admission and one less patient in the ICU.

The Region of Murcia added 72 new cases of coronavirus this Wednesday in a day in which there were no deaths due to this cause.

The number of people currently affected continues to increase, standing at 673 (24 more than the previous day). Of these, 629 are in home isolation.

However, the number of hospital admissions is down (44), with one less than on the previous day, and there is also one less patient in ICU (10).

The incidence rate at 14 days is 55.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (841 cases) and at 7 days is 31.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (473 cases), while the positivity rate is 2.01 per cent with 3,579 PCR tests.

The number of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic stands at 141,805, while the number of deaths remains at 1,748.

Of the 72 new cases, 21 correspond to the municipality of Cartagena, 14 to Murcia, 10 to Águilas, 6 to Lorca, 3 to Abarán. The rest are spread throughout the other municipalities.
