The machines of the Town Council of Oria and that of the Diputación de Almería have been trying to re-establish the main communication routes since the early hours of Saturday morning, while other work vehicles, owned by residents and businesses in the municipality, have been working to establish communication with the rest of the more localised areas.
The council has asked “those residents who have the means to speed up the situation to get in touch with the local mayors”.
In Olula del Río, “all night we have been receiving calls from neighbours asking for help due to the damage caused by the rain. First thing this morning the passage to La Noria was repaired and our workers are continuing to clean up some parts of the town,” said the town council.
In Macael the water reached 102 l/m2, the cleaning services, public works and local police have been working tirelessly to signal and solve the numerous problems. In addition, the road to the sierra has now been cleared so that the Subida del Mármol can be held.
