Members of the Cartagena City Council Fire Fighting Service intervened on Sunday 24th October in the rescue of a dog that had fallen down a 20 metre deep shaft in a mine located on the south side of Peñasblancas.
The fire brigade left at 6 o’clock in the afternoon, and the rescue took three hours, given the difficulties in accessing the place where the animal had fallen.
Once rescued, and given that the dog was injured, it was hospitalised, although its life was not in danger.
