San Pedro del Pinatar will have a new fire station of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Consortium of the Murcia Region (CEIS), which will also rebuild the one in Los Alcázares.

The Community of Murcia will spend more than two million euros on two new fire stations in the Mar Menor area. Los Alcázares and San Pedro del Pinatar will benefit from this investment that the regional executive has planned for the budgets of the Fire and Rescue Consortium of the Region of Murcia for the 2022 financial year.

“In the Mar Menor Sur fire station, in Los Alcázares, its facilities, which are 35 years old, will be rebuilt”, according to the Regional Minister for Transparency, Participation and Public Administration, Antonio Sánchez Lorente.

The works at Mar Menor Norte, in San Pedro del Pinatar, divided into two phases, will include a new area for fire engines, the asphalting of the entire site and the construction of a social area. Work is scheduled to begin in January 2022.

The vehicle fleet will also be reinforced with the incorporation of 20 new trucks, a fleet of wet nurses and vehicles that will be distributed to different facilities in the Region of Murcia. According to Sánchez Lorente, “this consignment is scheduled for next month”.
