The workshops are aimed at any user of the senior citizens’ centres as they are preventive in nature, although a prior assessment will be made of those interested in order to detect their individual needs. The classes, with small groups, will be given by a specialised physiotherapist and will be held weekly in each centre, with one or more sessions depending on the groups that have been formed in each one.
The Therapeutic Gerontogimanasia workshop, which aims to care and training for the promotion of active ageing and integration with the natural environment, is carried out by AFAL Cartagena and Region with the collaboration of the City Council of San Javier, through a youth guarantee program subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF).
