On Tuesday 2 November, the Region of Murcia will begin the immunisation process with this group and health personnel. The same appointment can be used for the third dose of the COVID vaccine.
The flu vaccination campaign in the Region of Murcia begins on Tuesday 2 November, starting with those over 70 years of age and healthcare workers.
They will also be able to take advantage of the appointment to inoculate themselves with the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This booster dose will be with Pfizer or Moderna, and will be administered six months later and together with the anti-flu vaccine in health centres, clinics, and other facilities set up for this purpose such as pavilions.
We have taken the microphone out into the street to ask the elderly and, as you will hear, there are those who are not convinced by the appointment system, those who are convinced of the benefits of the vaccine and also those who flatly refuse to undergo a third dose.
The Health Department’s campaign, for which 358,000 doses have been purchased, is entitled ‘I vaccinate because I love myself. And because I love you’.
From 15 November, vaccination will be open to people over 65, pregnant women, essential personnel, the chronically ill or those with pathologies at risk, and home carers or those living with people at risk or the elderly. People in non-priority groups will be able to get vaccinated from 13 December.
People who want to be vaccinated and are included in the groups where it is indicated at that time can apply online through the appointment form, on the Patient Portal, or by telephone at their health centre.
