The Nutcracker comes to Huércal Overa with the Russian National Ballet.

It will take place on Sunday 7 November at 20.30 at the Teatro Villa de Huércal Overa.

After the forced break caused by the pandemic, the Teatro Villa de Huércal Overa is waiting to host one of those shows that you have to see at least once in your life.

This is the Russian National Ballet who on Sunday 7th November will present “The Nutcracker”, as part of the 2021/2022 tour of Spain and Portugal.

The Nutcracker is a two-act ballet; an adaptation of Hoffmann’s story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”, which premiered at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg on 18 December 1892, in a double session with Tchaikovsky’s opera, Iolanta.

Now, the public of the regions of Levante, Los Vélez and Almanzora, as well as all those in the province of Almería and neighbouring Murcia, have the chance to enjoy the Russian National Ballet who, after the obligatory break for Covid-19, are returning to tour Europe and the United States.

The Russian National Ballet was founded in 1989, when the legendary soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Sergei Radchenko tried to realise his vision of a company that would bring together the most classical elements of the great Kirov and Bolshoi Ballet companies into a new independent ballet company within the framework of Russian classical ballet. Leading dancers from all over Russia forge under Radchenko’s direction an exciting company staging new productions of timeless classics such as Giselle, Don Quixote, Paquita and Carmen.

These more than thirty years of magic on stages all over the world include the Teatro Villa de Huércal Overa.

The date is this Sunday 7th November at 20.30 hours.
