
The Festival of young creation de la Región de Murcia, EstrenArte 2021 comes to Santiago de la Ribera next Saturday 6th November after the cancellation suffered last Saturday due to rain. The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, the Director General of Youth, José Manuel López and the Councillor for Youth, Isabel Madrid, presented this morning the Festival which aims to encourage young talent from Murcia. The Festival, which is organised by the Directorate General for Youth, received a total of 158 artistic proposals, of which 46 were finally selected and can be seen at the only three EstrenArte venues, which are Caravaca, where it has already been successfully held, San Javier and Cartagena, where it will take place from 11 to 13 November.
The San Javier venue will be the only one to host a Gastronomy section, which will be complemented by a Living Arts section and a Music section. The Festival will take place throughout the day with a continuous schedule from 11am to 11pm. The gastronomic section will start at 11h until 14h on the Barnuevo esplanade with five showcooking sessions in which local products will be used, such as mullet roe or blue cheese from San Javier, with Miguel de los Santos; Mar Menor sweets with Patricia Pérez, from Panadería José Antonio; tomato preparations by Ana Cristina Ruiz and even a tasting of Cierva cake with Valentín Sánchez, all with a DJ session by Estrasburgo 1518.
In the afternoon, the stage will move to the “Príncipe de Asturias” centre to host the four shows scheduled from 16:00h to 19:00h starting with the play “Vetevente 2020” with Salvador Riquelme and continuing with the musical monologue “Mi hermana acaba de tener un hijo”, by María Rodríguez; the play “La vida es sueño?”, with Cía. Aves Truz and the musical formation for Saxophone Quartet “Makridal Quartet”. The music will end the festival from 20:00h to 23:00h in the Barnuevo esplanade, with “Perkusionist”; the Murcian Stoner-Rock band, “Lo Cursed”; Dj & Drums with “Dirty Animals?” and “Dj Session” with Estrasburgo 1518.
The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo thanked the Directorate General for this type of initiative that promotes and stimulates talent among young people and for choosing the municipality of San Javier as one of only three venues for the Festival.
