The Guardia Civil after a recent investigation, has arrested a person in Vera as the perpetrator of a crime against persons for the attempted illegal detention, sexual harassment and injury of a woman.
This investigation is framed within the plan developed by the Guardia Civil in the fight against crimes for sexual purposes.
The investigation began in mid-October, when a person went to the Guardia Civil to inform the officers that a man had tried to get her into a vehicle that was parked but with the engine running, and that the same man had been following her for days and offering her money in exchange for having sexual relations with her.
With the information provided, an arduous investigation was launched in order to locate the alleged perpetrator, who has addresses in both the east of Almeria and in the province of Granada, which makes it even more difficult to locate him.
The Guardia Civil organised various surveillance operations to locate the assailant, with a positive result after identifying and arresting him outside a supermarket in the town of Vera.
Finally, as a result of the investigation, the Guardia Civil of Almeria proceeded to the arrest of a person, who was recognised without a doubt by the victim, as the author of a crime against persons, for attempted illegal detention, sexual harassment and injuries.
The proceedings conducted by the Guardia Civil, along with the detainee, have been placed at the disposal of the Dean of the Judicial District of Vera.
