Another victory for Cantoria at the Campo Municipal Los Olivos. Four wins out of four matches played at the home ground of the Aurinegros. This Sunday they beat Churriana by 2-1, match corresponding to match day 8 of the División de Honor, Group 2.
A complicated match with a good approach from the visiting team, who had taken their first point the previous day against Polideportivo Almeria. The first half was evenly matched with 2 clear chances for both sides that failed to materialise and 0-0 at half time.
With the introduction of Ricardo in the home team the improvement was noticeable and from a corner came the 1-0 with an own goal by Jony in the 55th minute.
Ten minutes later, Joaquín made it 2-0 for the Aurinegros.
David Cartagena’s team had chances for Guille and Ricardo to make it 3-0, but it was Sergio who made it 2-1 for Churriana in the 66th minute.
Suffering for the home team lasted until the 99th minute when the referee called the game to an end, to the delight of the fans who as usual kept their Sunday morning appointment and went away with 12 points from a possible 12 at their home ground.
