The delegate of the Government of Andalusia in Almeria, Maribel Sánchez Torregrosa, has signed today, accompanied by the territorial delegates of Employment, Emilio Ortiz, and Education, Antonio Jiménez, two agreements with the mayor of Albox, Francisco Torrrecillas. On the one hand, the agreement has been signed by which the Consistory gives the land where the new office of the SAE will be located in this town, and on the other hand the signing of the transfer of the land where the IES Cardenal Cisneros is located, which was approved in the plenary session of this City Council 39 years ago and that passes to the ownership of the Ministry of Education.
Torregrosa stressed that “for this Andalusian Government the priority is to provide solutions and improvements for local councils and their residents, and in this institutional spirit of collaboration we have signed these two important agreements that will result in a better provision of services to the citizens of Alboja”. In this sense, the delegate assured that “we are working on a new administrative simplification decree to streamline bureaucratic procedures in order to make Andalusia a community with the minimum of obstacles for citizens, companies and other administrations”.
For the Government Delegate in Almeria “the administrations must give quick answers and not leave files in drawers for more than 30 years as has happened with the transfer of the land where the Institute is located because in this way we are giving certainty and security to the municipality of Albox, preventing any problem in this space from falling on this council”.
New SAE offices
The building where the premises are located, where the new SAE office will be built, is a sports centre located between the basement and the first floor, which is intended for offices and a meeting room. It is on this first floor that premises 1 and 3 are located, which have a surface area of 290.70 m². Both will be assigned to the Andalusian Employment Service and will be used, after their adaptation and fitting out, as the local employment office. The assignment is for a period of 30 years and the purposes for which it is ceded must be fulfilled within a maximum period of five years.
The decision will allow the relocation of the current premises occupied by the employment office, at number 35, Calle Ramón y Cajal, which will provide more space and better accessibility conditions for an employment office that currently serves a population of 2,722 unemployed job seekers residing in the municipalities of Albox, Arboleas, Oria, Taberno and Zurgena. It has nine staff, including workers from the SAE (five) and the State Public Employment Service (four).
The second signature has consisted of the free transfer of the land where the IES Cardenal Cisneros is located and is thus assigned to the Ministry of Education and Sport of the Andalusian Regional Government. This signing comes 39 years after the agreement for the transfer of this plot of land to the Autonomous Community of Andalusia was approved in a plenary session of the Town Hall on 12 May 1982.
For his part, the Mayor of Albox wanted to thank “the Junta de Andalucía for the predisposition shown to solve problems that we had stalled for many years as the transfer of the Institute and to continue collaborating to resolve important issues for Albox as the new SAE offices that will soon be at the service of our neighbours.
