During the 25th and 27th of November, different activities will take place such as the open-air exhibition of the artist AleXsandro Palombo or the bicycle route along the different beaches of the municipality.
On 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women will be celebrated to denounce violence against women around the world and to call for policies in all countries to eradicate it.
In this sense, the Los Alcázares Town Hall has prepared a programme with different activities and meetings in support of this day which is celebrated annually around the world and which will take place on 25th and 27th November.
On Thursday 25th at 12:00 hours there will be a reading of the Manifesto at the door of the Town Hall by Joanne Scott, Councillor for Social Policy and Equality. The reading will be followed by the presentation of ‘She denounced it, but they killed her anyway’, the new work by artist AleXsandro Palombo in which he portrays Marine Le Pen, Anne Hidalgo, Ursula von der Leyen, Kamala Harris, Kate Middleton, Christine Lagarde and Letizia Ortiz Queen of Spain as victims of gender violence.
On Saturday 27 November at 11:00 a.m. a bike ride will be held, with the collaboration of the Sports Group and the Department of Sports, from Paseo Carrión. Registration for this activity can be made one hour before at the starting point. Finally, at 19:00 hours, the Bronce Danza company will present their dance ‘El camino paralelo’ in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall of Los Alcázares.
Other performances scheduled for next year
From 2022 onwards, the show ‘Mili, superestar reporter and Little Red Riding Hood’ is scheduled to be performed in the various infant and primary schools (for pupils and students aged between 4 and 8 years) in Los Alcázares. This play aims to promote the prevention of violence against women and avoid the sexist and sexist clichés of traditional fairy tales.
Finally, work is also being carried out so that during the first quarter of 2022 the workshop ‘First love, first value’ aimed at the young people of Los Alcázares will be held with the aim of promoting the prevention of violence in the first couple relationships between adolescents.
