Students from the Alto Almanzora Secondary School in Tíjola present their project for the Sierra de los Filabres to be declared a Natural Park.

The students were received by the delegate of the Andalusian Government, Maribel Sánchez Torregrosa.

High school students from the Alto Almanzora Secondary School in Tíjola have presented to the delegate of the Andalusian Government, Maribel Sánchez Torregrosa, and the territorial delegate for Sustainable Development, Raquel Espín, the project entitled “El Pulmón del Almanzora” which aims to declare the Sierra de los Filabres as a Natural Park.

The students have explained the development of their project and the different meetings they have held with institutional representatives of the Comarca del Almanzora.

The delegate of the Junta in Almería congratulated them for their work and encouraged them to continue working in defence of their project.

In addition, the delegate of Sustainable Development has shown them the high levels of protection that already exist in the Sierra de los Filabres.
