Coronavirus in Murcia: Covid admissions soar with almost 20 more patients in one day

Hospitalisations due to coronavirus in the Region of Murcia have soared in the last 24 hours. Nearly 20 patients, 17 to be precise, have been admitted to a hospital in Murcia with covid-19 in one day, an increase that has not occurred for months. In total there are 93 people hospitalised in the Community for this cause, of which 18 remain in intensive care units, three more than in the previous count.

On the other hand, Health detected 245 new cases yesterday and the number of people affected now stands at 2,502.

Of the 245 new cases, 66 correspond to the municipality of Murcia, 38 to Cartagena, 15 to Molina de Segura, 14 to Cieza, 13 to Torre Pacheco, 11 to Alcantarilla, 9 to Alhama de Murcia, 7 to Lorca, 7 to San Javier, 7 to San Pedro del Pinatar, 5 to Caravaca de la Cruz, 5 to Yecla, 4 to Abarán, 4 to Lorquí, 4 to Mazarrón, 4 to Las Torres de Cotillas. The rest are distributed among the other municipalities.

The Region of Murcia did not record any deaths due to covid yesterday, so the number of deaths from the virus remains at 1,768.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 146,805 cases have been confirmed and 142,535 people have been cured. A total of 1,700,686 PCR/antigen and 119,588 antibody tests have been carried out.
