The Provincial Council and Mojácar Town Council, together with companies and associations, have joined forces to place the province of Almería on the national sporting scene. This weekend, the Spanish Petanque Championship for people with intellectual disabilities was held in Mojácar at the Mojácar Petanque Club.
The FEDDI Spanish Petanque Championship for clubs, included in the official FEDDI calendar, aims to bring together the largest number of clubs and athletes practising this sport for people with intellectual disabilities in Spain.

Francisco García thanked the players and the organisers for their presence, placing special emphasis on the Los Carriles Foundation and the great effort made over the years, without whose support this competition would not have been possible.
