The Regional Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities has approved an incentive of 841,212 euros for the start-up of two projects by the company located in the municipality of Fines Cristalería F. Sola through the Programme for Industrial Development, Competitiveness Improvement, Digital Transformation and Job Creation. This line of incentives is co-financed with ERDF funds and managed by the IDEA Agency.
Cristalería F. Sola is a glass handling company that presented two initiatives to IDEA: the creation of a new glass handling centre and the acquisition of digital printing machinery.
The new glass handling centre will allow the company to increase its production capacity and continue to diversify its production away from the construction sector (e.g. industrial refrigeration or household appliances). For its start-up, which requires an investment of 2.20 million euros and involves the creation of three jobs and the maintenance of 52, IDEA has approved an incentive of 770,229 euros.
For its part, the new digital printing machinery covers the increase in demand for products that need to be screen-printed with vitrified paint. With it, they will be able to increase turnover in this type of product. For this project, which involves an investment of 283,931 euros, the Junta has approved an incentive of 70,982 euros.
With these new projects, Cristalería F. Sola has now invested 3.87 million euros in different initiatives, for which the IDEA Agency has approved an overall aid of 1.21 million euros.
More than 27 million euros in subsidies
The subsidy programme for Industrial Development, Competitiveness Improvement, Digital Transformation and Job Creation in Andalusia is developed within the framework of the Global Competitiveness-Innovation-Employment Grant of Andalusia 2014-2020, integrated in turn in the ERDF Operational Programme, co-financed with the European Regional Development Fund.
So far, 163 incentivised business projects have been approved in Almeria with 27.64 million euros. The initiatives involve an eligible investment of 77.98 million euros, the creation of 129 jobs and the maintenance of 1,178 jobs.
This subsidy programme, co-financed with ERDF funds, supports the creation of companies, the improvement of competitiveness, the generation of employment, the implementation of advanced services and the digital transformation of SMEs. 76.58% of the aid approved is aimed at improving the competitiveness of the business fabric and 17.61% at the creation of new projects, lines in which the incentives approved by the Governing Council at this meeting are also framed.
