The Region of Murcia has registered 952 new positive cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, almost double the number registered this Thursday (561), in a day with one death from this cause. This was a 76-year-old woman from Health Area I, who had not been vaccinated. This brings the number of reported deaths to 1,777.
Since last January, the number of infections has not exceeded 900, which is why the Regional Minister of Health, Juan José Pedreño, has called for prudence and has asked the population to get vaccinated.
Of the 952 positive cases, 329 correspond to Murcia, 209 to Cartagena, 36 to Alcantarilla, 32 to Molina de Segura, 25 to La Unión, 24 to Yecla, 23 to Torre Pacheco, 22 to Cieza, 21 to Lorca and Jumilla, 18 to Águilas, 16 to Abarán, 13 to Totana, 12 to Alhama, Caravaca, San Javier, and Las Torres de Cotillas, 11 to Fuente Álamo and Lorquí, 10 to Los Alcázares and Archena.
