A new victory for the Villa de Fines women’s futsal team, who beat the Andarax Alhama quintet 6-3 on Saturday.
In a match where the light blue team took the lead in the 3rd minute through Karen, the team’s top scorer -17 goals in 5 games-, who in the 5th minute had already made it 2-0 for the locals.
It looked to be a straightforward encounter for Villa de Fines, but a goal from Nuria in the 10th minute narrowed the gap and the game was evenly poised until the end of the first half, with the score very close despite the chances that Francis Cano’s team were creating.
In the second half, Reme increased the lead and made it 3-1 as soon as the second half got underway. A phantom goal by Karen did not make the scoreboard, but in the following play the Honduran player scored again to beat the visitors’ goal; 4-1.
Vero in the 7th minute scored the fifth from a corner kick.
Antonia Rivas temporarily pulled one back in the 12th minute of the second half (5-2) but Reme three minutes later made it 6-2.
Marta three minutes from the end closed the scoring, which puts the Almanzora side top of the standings with an ideal score; 15 points from 5 games played.
