The PP of Zurgena urges the government team to launch a campaign to support local commerce.

Domingo Trabalón affirms that this Christmas season we must “support our self-employed and the small businesses in our municipality”.

The spokesman for the Partido Popular in Zurgena Town Council, Domingo Trabalón, has asked the local government team to take note of the management of other councils governed by the PP and to launch a campaign to support local commerce as soon as possible, given the time of year.

Trabalón explains that Christmas is a time when consumption increases and therefore considers it essential for the PSOE government team to support “our self-employed and small businesses”. According to the popular spokesman “they are the stimulus of our economy” and therefore now more than ever we must make the residents of Zurgena aware of the need to buy in our shops, which offer excellent quality products.

Domingo Trabalón laments the “lack of ideas” of the mayor and the socialist councillors, whose only concern is to “get paid at the end of the month” instead of working to try to improve a municipality that is falling behind as a result of the mismanagement carried out by the government team.

In this sense, the popular spokesman recalls how last year, in the run up to the Christmas holidays, the Town Hall tried to stimulate the local economy with a campaign which in the end was a “real failure” as despite the fact that more than forty businesses took part in it, in the end only just over five received a grant of 50 euros.

“With this initiative, the government team once again demonstrated that the only thing they are interested in is marketing and that the idea of helping those who need it most in our town is something that takes second place,” he laments.

Domingo Trabalón hopes that “the mayor and his councillors will wake up as soon as possible from the lethargy in which they find themselves because the only ones who ultimately suffer from their incompetence are the residents of Zurgena”.

Finally, the Popular Party spokesman stressed that the PP will always support small businesses and self-employed people in the town and encourages residents to “buy and consume in our town, because they will thank us and Zurgena will have more life than ever in these dates so endearing for everyone”.
