The Region of Murcia has registered 667 new positive cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, in a day with one death from this cause. The death was an 87-year-old man from health area II (Cartagena) who had been vaccinated, according to sources from the Regional Ministry of Health.
Of the 667 new cases, 161 correspond to the municipality of Murcia, 124 to Cartagena, 44 to Alcantarilla, 41 to Lorca, 29 to Molina de Segura, 24 to Torre Pacheco, 22 to Las Torres de Cotillas, 22 to Totana, 18 to Caravaca de la Cruz, 18 to Jumilla, 16 to San Pedro del Pinatar, 12 to Mazarrón, 10 to Fuente Álamo, 10 to Puerto Lumbreras, 10 to San Javier and 9 to Alhama de Murcia. The rest are spread throughout the other municipalities.
At the moment there are 287 people hospitalised by Covid-19, 212 on the ward aged between 19 and 99. In the ICU there are 75 people between the ages of 22 and 72 years and, of these, 50% are unvaccinated. Meanwhile, 13,214 people are in home isolation.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 170,160 people have been infected by the coronavirus, and the number of people cured has risen to 154,853. The number of deaths is 1,806.
The number of detection tests carried out totals 1,902,785 PCR/antigen and 120,810 antibody tests.
