The Andalusian Employment Service, attached to the Regional Ministry of Employment, Training and Self-Employment, has enabled this week the appointment for face-to-face attention in the employment offices, with the aim of streamlining the attention and reducing the attention times for users. It can be requested via the website, the SAE’s APP or by calling 955625696, as well as the appointment for telephone assistance, which the agency has maintained as of this moment as a permanent service.
The new system offers a schedule of dates with a maximum period of 15 days for both face-to-face and telephone appointments, with users being able to select the option that best suits them. Only in the case of certain procedures, such as the initial registration of the employment application, the accreditation of the Active Job Search or procedures that require the submission of documents, the appointment must be requested in person, as these are procedures that require more detailed attention for the correct classification of the application, the submission of documentation or the classification of occupations, among others.
Over the last year, the SAE has adopted a series of temporary measures that have allowed services to continue with full guarantees, taking into account that most of the procedures could already be carried out electronically via the website or the APP.
Thus, during the pandemic, the SAE set up an online form for the initial registration of the employment claim, made the deadlines for re-registration of the claim more flexible and automatically renewed the employment claims, measures that have been essential to respond to the ERTE situations that have occurred in these months to ensure the recognition and payment of benefits by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE). As a result, a total of 196,340 applications for initial registration of claims have been processed and 2,130,544 employment claims have been automatically renewed during the period of validity of these measures.
As the recovery of activity has allowed, the SAE has deactivated these extraordinary measures, such as the online registration application form, which is no longer accessible on the website and has been replaced by face-to-face attention by appointment at the office.
New management model
These changes and improvements in the appointment system are not only in response to the situation caused by the pandemic, but are part of a new integrated management model that will improve and manage SAE resources more efficiently in order to optimise the quality of the services provided to citizens and companies.
With the new model, the user is placed at the centre of the SAE’s activity, with the employment office also being the point of reference for the citizen. The personalisation of services through a new statistical profiling system based on big data, the possibility of self-management and the integration of guidance in the employment office itself, are some of the new features that the SAE is going to implement in stages throughout the territory over the coming months, within the framework of the Master Plan for the Organisation of Active Employment Policies and Labour Relations in Andalusia.
