The manager of Area VIII of Health – Mar Menor and Hospital Los Arcos, Tomás Fernández, together with the mayor of Torre Pacheco, has visited the new Covid point located in the Urbahita Social Centre in this municipality. Tomás Fernández stressed that the situation is quite complicated due to the increase in cases, and predicts that it will continue for at least two weeks, so the vaccine is being the most effective way to avoid hospital admissions.
Fernández stressed that the hospital system is prepared, although primary care is overwhelmed, which is why different tools are being put in place, such as the Covid points.
