A 70-year-old man has been seriously injured after falling off the bicycle in which he was riding on Avenida Tierno Galván in Puerto de Mazarrón, in the municipality of Mazarrón, reported sources from the Emergency Coordination Centre consulted by Europa Press.
The ‘1-1-2’ received a call at 15.48 hours reporting the accident. A Local Police unit from Mazarrón and a Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) from the 061 Health Emergency and Urgent Care Management were sent to the scene.
The injured man appears to have fallen when riding in parallel with another cyclist. The EMU doctor reported that, once he had been treated and stabilised, he was taken to the Santa Lucía Hospital in Cartagena with serious head injuries.
