In June, Murcia International Airport will open new connections with the Norwegian cities of Oslo and Bergen. There will be two weekly connections, from 18 June, with the capital of the country and from the following day, 19 June, with Bergen, and for both cases the airline Norwegian has already put tickets on sale.

In 2019, the year before the start of the pandemic, the Region of Murcia received a total of 78,987 tourists from the Nordic countries, making it the third most important international market for the Region of Murcia.

The news has been known in the professional meeting ‘Matka Workshop Day’ in which the Ministry of Presidency, Tourism and Sports has held more than twenty individualized appointments with travel agencies and tour operators, in order to position in the Nordic countries such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark, the tourist offer oriented to live experiences in the Region of Murcia.
