The Town Council of Águilas and the Federation of Peñas agree to hold the Carnival in the second half of July.
It was at a meeting held this afternoon between the mayoress, Mari Carmen Moreno, the mayor of Carnival, Cristóbal Casado, and the president of the Federation of Peñas, José Alonso, in which it was decided to set the second half of July as the most appropriate date for the celebration of Carnival 2022, which, due to the high incidence of COVID, could not be held on its usual date.
After the meeting, the president of the Federation announced that next week a meeting will be held with all the Carnival peñas to inform them of all the details of the celebration of this festival of International Tourist Interest.
