The municipality of San Javier has a new beach ordinance applicable after its publication yesterday in the BORM which updates the previous regulations of 2014.
One of the main novelties established by the new ordinance is the prohibition of reserving a space on the beach by leaving belongings without their owners, in which case they may be removed by the beach cleaning services.
The text, which will be applied during the next beach season, also prohibits the use of bottles, camping, fires, music players and loudspeakers with noise levels that are a nuisance to the rest of the beach users.
Games on the beach will not be allowed if they are a nuisance to others.
The regulation is based on the idea that the beach belongs to everyone and that any use of the beach must be respectful of the shared use of the beach.
The ordinance reserves the possibility of permits that the local administration may grant in exceptional cases for certain uses of the beach environment that are generally prohibited in the text.
