Mazarrón town council gives away 4,000 mesh bags for plastic-free shopping

This is the third campaign that the Department of Commerce, headed by Silvia García Zamora, is running, handing out reusable bags, on this occasion, mesh bags for foodstuffs such as vegetables and fruit.

The town hall of Mazarrón distributed yesterday Saturday morning 4.000 reusable mesh bags for the consumers to avoid using the plastic ones. “Less bags, more life” is the name of the campaign that the council is doing through the Department of Commerce, whose owner is Silvia García Zamora.

The distribution of the bags took place from 11am to 1pm in the Plaza del Convento, in front of the Iglesia de la Purísima. With the proximity of Valentine’s Day and Carnival, postcard and costume workshops have also been held with recycled materials.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, guarantees the commitment of the whole council to the environment.
