At around 13:20 hours on Saturday 05 February, the operational centre received several calls alerting them to the occurrence of a traffic accident at km. 33’200 of the A-332 road (Cuevas de Almanzora – San Juan de los Terreros), in the municipality of Pulpí, involving a motorbike occupied by two people who were travelling on the main road and were intercepted by a car which did not respect the STOP sign and left the scene without providing assistance to the victims, resulting in one person seriously injured and another slightly injured.
After a meticulous inspection of the scene of the incident and the testimony of witnesses, arduous efforts were made to locate the vehicle causing the accident and identify its driver, which was achieved four days later, proceeding to investigate A.C.L. as responsible for the occurrence of the accident and for the crime of leaving the scene of the accident punishable by six months to four years in prison and the deprivation of the right to drive motor vehicles for one to four years.
The investigated along with the proceedings are placed at the disposal of the Juzgado de Instrucción number 2 of Huércal Overa, which by demarcation corresponds to him.
