Sport and the province of Almería come together once again in a sport that attracts thousands of enthusiasts. This is the extreme 4×4 championship held in Andalusia. Taberno has been the Andalusian municipality chosen to kick off a championship organised by the Andalusian Automobile Federation and supported by the Almería Provincial Council.
This year, the tournament will start in the province of Almería and finish in Cádiz on 11 December. It has 6 dates and is expected to have an attendance of up to 6,000 people, as well as a great diffusion in local media and social networks. In addition, security will be guaranteed with the presence of Local Police, Civil Protection, as well as firefighters and Ambulance. Calendar:

The Deputy for Sports, José Antonio García, stressed that sport, whatever its modality, is always welcome in the province of Almeria. “From the Provincial Council, we work and promote the binomial sport-tourism because it is the best way for people who live in other places to get to know the benefits of our province. We have sun, beach, desert, snow and lots of mountains. Almeria is the real 4×4 of tourism and we prove it in the organisation or participation we do in every event.”
For his part, the president of the Club Deportivo Taberno 4×4, Andrés Aránega, has stressed that it is one of the most attractive championships on the sports scene. “It doesn’t have as many fans as others, but the fans of this sport enjoy real live adventures. From the club we are very pleased that they have chosen our municipality to start a new edition of the extreme 4×4 championship. This weekend I invite all the people of Almeria to get to know first hand the fun of this sport”.
