The data recorded during the day on Wednesday 30 March at the measuring stations in Cartagena show that none of them exceeded the daily limit established in the Municipal Action Framework Protocol for environmental pollution episodes of NO2 and PM10.
In this way, the preventive level 1 and corrective level 2, which had been set up the previous day, were deactivated, as the established limit of 50 µg/m3 was not exceeded at any point.
By stations, the daily average yesterday at Mompean was 35 µg/m3, at Alumbres 29 µg/m3, at Valle de Escombreras 31 µg/m3 and at La Aljorra 30 µg/m3.
As reported by the Air Quality Monitoring Network of the Region of Murcia, throughout Thursday 31 March the episode of intrusion of air masses of African origin over the Iberian Peninsula, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands is expected to continue and move eastwards. The models consulted estimate surface dust concentrations in the range 10-20 μg/m3 for the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula. Dry and wet dust deposition is also expected to occur over the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula.
