The change in the weather situation, from early this morning, is caused by the passage of a front associated with the Evelyn squall that will sweep across the peninsula. Rain on Tuesday and Wednesday and a return to stability and rising temperatures from Thursday onwards is what the weather forecast has left us with.
Widespread showers will be the main feature on Tuesday. The skies will be cloudy or overcast with showers, more likely inland, and may occasionally be accompanied by thunderstorms in the western regions. Showers may be accompanied by mud deposits.
On Wednesday afternoon, cloudy skies are expected with precipitation, more likely and intense in the afternoon, when it may be locally heavy and persistent.
The situation on Tuesday and Wednesday will give way to stable weather and rising temperatures from Thursday onwards, according to the AEMET.
