The Guardia Civil initiated both investigations following a complaint lodged by the victims at the official offices, where they informed the agents of the facts.
In the first action, the agents became aware that a person was robbed of jewellery worth 7,500 euros and 400 euros in cash from a house undergoing renovations, located in the town of Adra (Almeria), where several people from different masonry and painting companies were working.
In the same way, the investigators recovered the stolen jewellery, which was recognised by the victim as hers, and immediately arrested the perpetrator.
In the second action, the agents began an arduous investigation after learning that a television and fibre package had been contracted in the name of the victim and that two high-end mobile phones had been purchased through a major telephone company.
Numerous enquiries were made and through the use of different technological means, the agents were aware that a person had tried to sell one of the phones to a shop, but had not been able to sell it. The investigators also located the other handset owned by a person who claimed to have bought it for 880 euros from a third person.
