The Huércal-Overa Town Hall closes the first edition of Caravaning with a high participation of both caravaners and public. An event that has brought together thousands of people during the three days of celebration being “a new commitment to tourism, especially for the motorhome sector that is booming throughout the national territory. Our municipality is a reference point for the motorhome area where dozens of motorhomes are found every day. During these three days there have been around a hundred families from different parts of our country who have spent the night in our motorhome area, actively participating in the programme prepared together with the residents of the municipality,” said the mayor, Domingo Fernández.
Although the weather conditions were not entirely favourable, this was not an impediment to enjoying this event, which is already being planned for a future edition, continuing the Town Hall’s efforts to consolidate the municipality as a benchmark in the motorhome sector on a national level, both for tourists and for companies linked to the sector.
Among the attractions of Caravaning Huércal-Overa were the Gastrostand, Exhibitors, Food Truck, Beer and Wine Fair, children’s entertainment, concerts, children’s workshops and guided tours. In addition, the Carnival, postponed at the time due to the pandemic situation, was held at the Recinto Ferial.
The Councillor for Tourism, Belén Martínez, “is grateful for the participation of all the visitors, exhibitors, companies, musical groups and municipal workers. Thanks to all of them this fair has been a success. We close with a very good feeling and with expectations for the next event”.
