The Guardia Civil of Almeria, in a recent investigation, arrested a person in Albox as the perpetrator of the crimes of theft, discovery and disclosure of secrets and obstruction of justice.
This action is part of the investigative work that the Guardia Civil of Almeria carries out to clarify and prosecute crimes committed against property throughout the province.
The investigation began when a complaint was received at the Albox barracks in which the victim informed the agents that an unknown perpetrator or perpetrators had stolen a top of the range mobile phone belonging to him.
The victim adds to the information provided to the agents in the sense that when connecting from his computer to an instant messaging application he has seen how the person who has the mobile phone in his possession, has started a chat sending to a number unknown to him, several photographs of an intimate nature of a person around him.
After some active efforts, the agents first located the location of the stolen mobile phone, continuing the actions to determine the identity of the person who has it in his possession.
Following the development of the investigation, the agents managed to positively identify the perpetrator, verifying how, once he had the mobile phone in his possession, he unlocked it and accessed a photo archiving application and sent himself several photographs via an instant messaging application.
In addition, in order to obstruct the work of the officers, he contacted the complainant directly to force him to withdraw the complaint.
For all of the above, the agents proceeded to arrest this person for the crimes of theft, discovery and disclosure of secrets and obstruction of justice.
The proceedings conducted by the Guardia Civil, along with the detainee, have been placed at the disposal of the Duty Court of Huercal Overa.
