Sabores Almería’ is conquering markets on five continents at ‘Salón Gourmets’. The Almeria exhibitor is consolidating its position as a business centre and has been the setting for contacts between companies with distributors and exporters in America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania.
The president, Javier A. García, has closed business meetings with an Asian exporter who has focused, among other products, on the Cherry en Rama varieties that are marketed in Almeria as well as other top-of-the-range products. In addition, the businessmen have established commercial relations with large companies from countries such as Australia, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, China, Japan and the Eastern countries, at the same time as they have built up customer loyalty. “We have once again conquered this event and the most important thing is the high level of satisfaction of the entrepreneurs. Not only have they built up customer loyalty, but they have also held meetings and visits that are translating into new business opportunities with new markets”.
Ferrán Adriá has succumbed to the quality of Almeria’s products and visited the ‘Sabores Almería’ display, where he was received by the president who explained the three characteristics of the province’s gourmet seal: excellence, health and flavour.
The continuous activity in the Silestone by Cosentino kitchen of the display has attracted all the attention in Hall 6 since the inauguration thanks to the quality of the raw materials, the know-how and the communication skills of the professionals of the Almeria hotel and catering industry.
The Restaurant ‘El Terrao’ has exhibited its gastronomic proposal with ‘Sabores Almería’ products by the hand of its chef, Ángel Hernández, who has surprised with three dishes with zero kilometre products. Hernández, who was proud to be part of the great ‘Sabores Almería’ family, cooked:

The Juan Moreno Restaurant has brought the top chefs of the kitchen and the dining room to teach the pairing of wines and recipes with 100% Almeria products. The Sommelier José Moreno, has been in charge of selecting the wines with which they have ‘watered’ a menu by the chef Juan Moreno:

Precisely in this showcooking we have lived one of the most emotional moments of the Fair, with the uncorking of the wine ‘Resurrección’ by Paco Palomillo, which has been buried since Easter Sunday 2020 until this year at a depth of four metres between layers of straw and wheat flour. This is the highest product of the range of wines offered by this winery located in ‘Los Gázquez’ in Vélez-Rubio.
It makes Alería a special product, gestures like this make you feel prouder of people like yourselves. It encourages us to try to encourage you, in a unique province like Almeria.

Pulpí geode, boasts of extra virgin olive oil
Oleoalmanzora and the Pulpí Town Council today presented a new product with innovative packaging that will take the name of the Geoda de Pulpí to all the countries in which this ‘Sabores Almería’ company markets its products. The mayor of Pulpí, Juan Pedro García, and the president, Javier A. García, accompanied José Sánchez on a “very special day for a company that since 2014 has also won numerous prestigious international awards.
Juan Pedro García highlighted the “entrepreneurial DNA” of the people of Pulpileño and how this businessman was trained before setting up his company to produce under high quality standards. “I would like to thank the Diputación for the work it does to export these brave entrepreneurs who put all their love and professionalism into obtaining the highest quality in each of their products. And this oil of magnificent quality is a reflection of the employment, wealth and visits generated in the region by the largest visitable Geode in the world”.
For his part, José Sánchez told the audience that the truffled oil has been awarded today in Valladolid with a national distinction in the gold category, placing it among the best oils in the country.
TIDA’s spicy oils, a sin
TIDA has carried out a tasting of its spicy products and has taken advantage of the stage of the exhibition to officially present its new sin: ‘La Perversión’. This is the fifth hot sauce in a range that was a real sensation at Salón Gourmets 2021. “We are proud of these months together with ‘Sabores Almería’ and we wanted to present ‘La Perversión’ here”.
During the activity, they explained how this young company came about after 9 years of experience with fresh produce, which they used to export. “We wanted to do something new and we decided to make hot sauces with the peppers that our company grows and harvests”.
Preserves and Vegetables, top quality
Desuflí, with its new packaging, has continued on the path of growth it has taken since it joined ‘Sabores Almería’ by exporting its ‘Fritá’ and wide range of preserves traditionally produced in the municipality of Suflí.
In the Bajo Almanzora, in Cuevas, ‘Conservas Almanzora’ produces its snails and pâtés, which are seducing buyers from all corners of the country and also from abroad.
Asia and the United States have been interested in the production of vegetables and the pre-prepared convenience food offered by the ‘Sabores Almería’ brand. CASI, Biosabor and Virgin Nature, which is taking part for the first time in a promotional event organised by the Provincial Council, were the ambassadors at the stand.
