PSOE of Albox proposes to promote the use of renewable energies and encourage energy efficiency in the municipality
The Socialists present the proposal to the government team.

The PSOE of Albox has proposed to the Municipal Government team to promote the use of renewable energies and encourage energy efficiency in the municipality and has urged the mayor to present projects under the Next Generation funds. In this sense, the socialists are going to present a series of initiatives for the municipality to advance in three lines that they consider «strategic for its development» and they call them ‘Albox Sostenible’, ‘Albox Productive and Digital’ and ‘Albox Comprometido, Diverso e Inclusivo’ (Committed, Diverse and Inclusive Albox).

«In a global scenario where sustainability, circular economy and care for the environment are central issues and insurmountable requirements for progress, our municipality must be able to see clearly that this train can not be missed and that we must bet on clear policies that allow us to align ourselves with these priorities,» say the PSOE albojense. To this end, the ‘Albox SÍ’ Working Group has made various suggestions to the government team, including the precise delimitation of the areas and conditions in which solar gardens can be installed within the municipality.

In addition, they consider that local investment should be encouraged «so that they can be associated and participate in the construction of the solar garden projects that are set up». The socialists also propose the widespread use of renewable energies and believe that this should be required in new constructions and facilitated in what is already built. «Subsidies for the installation of solar panels and reductions in the IBI can be a great incentive», they stress and believe that the municipalities «should seek the highest possible degree of self-sufficiency in electricity in homes».

The PSOE of Albox encourages the town council to present projects to the European ‘Next Generation’ recovery funds and reminds us that «one of the three pillars to focus investment is the ecological transition» and that their proposals «would fit perfectly within it». «We are convinced that with good planning, the funds would be secured» and, for this, «the will to work on the projects is essential, because denialism at this stage leads to nothing, except social frustration», they maintain.
