San Pedro del Pinatar, cradle of the Dragon Boat in our country, hosted this weekend the 1st Spanish Cup long distance 2000 meters of db12 boats in categories Senior, Veteran, Youth and Paradragon male, female and mixed, thus giving the starting signal for the new season.
The competition, which was initially going to be held in the facilities of the Nautical Activities Centre, had to be moved to the Sports Beach of the municipality due to the weather conditions of the weekend, but this did not prevent the Cup from being held normally and the 450 athletes who took part enjoyed two days of intense regattas.
54 boats from 13 different clubs from Asturias, Galicia, Seville, Madrid and Valencia, among other places in Spain, took part in the 1st Long Distance 2000m Spanish Cup.
As for the participation of the Pinatarense Sports Association, got a 4th place by clubs thanks to the following results: 4th open veteran, 5th open senior, 1st female veteran, 6th mixed senior, 3rd female senior, 4th mixed veteran and 3rd BCS.
On Sunday the BSC Flamenco Rosa team celebrated its 6th anniversary accompanied by the rest of the athletes, family and friends.
