The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has extended the geographical scope of the adverse phenomenon warning yellow level for Monday 2 May to the region of the Altiplano. It is also maintained in the Northwest, Valle del Guadalentín, Lorca and Águilas, from 12.00 hours, for locally heavy rain, and / or locally strong winds, which may be accompanied by hail of less than 2 centimetres.
The alert, which is limited to these four regions, will end at 21.00 hours, with a probability of the phenomenon of between 40 and 70 percent, as reported by AEMET through its website.
In addition, Meteorology establishes a yellow warning for rainfall in much of the region on Wednesday 4 May, which includes the likelihood of collecting up to 20 litres per square metre in an hour in the Vega del Segura, Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Aguilas, and Campo de Cartagena.
