Operation Charly-Marchal resulted in two arrests.

In a recent operation, the Guardia Civil dismantled a point of packaging, cultivation and processing of marijuana in the municipality of Cantoria and arrested one person as a perpetrator of the crimes of trafficking, cultivation and processing of drugs and another for the fraud of electric fluid and another for a crime against public health for cultivation and processing of drugs.

The operation is the result of police investigations arising from anonymous communication channels that the Guardia Civil has at the disposal of citizens, through which the agents know of the existence of a house in the municipality of Cantoria where drugs could be being cultivated.

The Guardia Civil organised different surveillance operations around this house, where in addition to the noise of machinery normally used for the cultivation of marijuana, the smell of the substance was also perceived, in the same way, the agents observed from the outside of the house up to 5 a/cc devices and a cable, half buried, hooked to the electricity supply meter.

During the surveillance, the agents observed two people staying overnight, entering and leaving the house and also noticed how they took precautions to try to evade police action.

The Guardia Civil organised an operation to carry out the corresponding entry and search of the place, where in addition to seizing 170 marijuana plants, 120 grams of buds, a piece of pressed marijuana weighing 188 grams and the various materials that make up the electrical, irrigation, air conditioning and ventilation systems, specific machinery was found for pressing, vacuum-packing, hermetically canning and labelling the drug as canned tuna, to evade police action during its distribution.

As a result of Operation Charly-Marchal, the Guardia Civil of Almeria dismantled a marijuana packaging, cultivation and processing point in the municipality of Cantoria and arrested two people for crimes against public health and electricity fraud.
