Town councils with depopulation problems can apply for grants of up to 30,000 euros for infrastructure
The budget is three million euros, of which almost 400,000 euros correspond to the province.

Local councils in Almeria in municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants can apply until this Friday for aid for equipment or machinery necessary for the provision of public services, works in municipal buildings, investment studies related to local development plans or actions to encourage economic activity and job creation, especially in endogenous strategic sectors. The total budget is 3 million euros, of which almost 400,000 euros will correspond to the province of Almería.

The territorial delegate for Regeneration, Justice and Local Administration, José Luis Delgado, has visited some of the smallest municipalities in Almería, such as Lúcar, with just over 700 inhabitants, to inform their mayors about the call for these grants, which will be awarded on a competitive basis, giving priority to localities at risk of depopulation, a phenomenon that particularly affects the inland municipalities of Almería, in regions such as the Almanzora Valley.
