
A poor game for Cantoria on Sunday in Granada resulted in the loss of the Ricardo Mora-Juanma Sánchez-led team’s unbeaten run after nine games.
The Almanzora side went down 3-1 to Celtic Pulianas, a relegation rivals, and after the win they escaped from the red zone.
The Aurinegro came out lacking in intensity in a game with little football in the first 45 minutes. A poor clearance from the visitors’ defence preceded Herrera’s goal in the 44th minute.
In the second half Cantoria came out to try and mount a comeback, surely the best minutes of the visit. However, the home side extended their lead with a penalty which Dani Torres converted in the 64th minute.
Cantoria 2017 showed their craft and did not lose the game. Migui, after a throw-in, pulled one back in the 75th minute.
There was time for something more. With the aurinegro turned on the goal defended by López, and in stoppage time, Celtic Pulianas put the definitive 3-1 on the scoreboard.
The match corresponding to the 33rd matchday of Group 2 of the Andalusian Division of Honour was played at the Antonio Ballesteros stadium in Pulianas.
The next match day Cantoria 2017 will host Loja at the Municipal Los Olivos.
