Autonomous Community continues with the removal of biomass and abandoned or semi-sunken boats in the Mar Menor area, to prevent the degradation of the lagoon ecosystem, in which an area of three hectares is registered in a situation of hypoxia.
According to sources from the regional administration, IMIDA technicians have resumed measurements in the area of Las Lomas (municipality of Cartagena between Punta de las Lomas and Villas Caravaning) and have found that the area affected by hypoxia is 3 hectares, with values of less than 2 mg/l, which improve as the hours go by.
No further anomalies have been detected in other areas.
