The Partido Popular of Albox, through a press release, «regrets that the municipal government team acts on impulse, at the whim of the mayor and always with their backs turned to the citizens, who are now not asked for their opinion on any of their actions».
They claim that last week they learned through social networks about Torrecillas’ plans for the Plaza Andalucía (Plaza de Abastos), a car park to replace a square, once a meeting and recreation point for many children and families, alleging a lack of parking and without listening to the residents affected or giving them the opportunity to contribute possible improvements or uses for this central square.
In the same way, today they also know through networks, the fate that he wants to give to the Plaza de Salta, located in Calle Ramón y Cajal in which, as he did in the Plaza Andalucía, he has proceeded to the indiscriminate felling of trees with the opposition of its neighbours, many of whom have expressed their indignation as this square was a meeting point for the elderly who took advantage of the shade of its trees and the tranquility of the place to spend their evenings and some time in the company of others.

All without a plan, at the whim and likeness of what Mr. Torrecillas lights up every morning and, as they say, always with his back turned to the citizens who are the ones who are harmed by each of his actions.
The PP affirm that Torrecillas is right when he says that «Albox is a first class town», and that the disgrace is that it has third class leaders who contradict themselves with every step they take, that one day they present the project of an underground car park with private parking spaces ready to put it out to tender, only to cancel it tomorrow and say that in its place they will build a large park and then move the car park, now discarding the idea of making it underground, to another square that in the past they promised they were going to convert into a rehabilitated space but with the same use.
The PP maintains that «Albox deserves a government team that does not expel businesses, that lowers taxes, that lays the foundations so that young people are not obliged to leave in search of opportunities and that seeks quality public infrastructures and is not installed in the trifle of raising a cobblestone here to place it there, that is what a first class town like Albox deserves».
